I Care boasts a beautiful rehabilitation centre in Kwa Makutha on the South Coast of KZN.  Children from our Johannesburg and KZN operations go through rehabilitation at this centralised centre.

Once children have made the decision to change their lives and ultimately come off the streets, we take them through a 3 month rehabilitation course called the Khuthaza ADP (Adolescent Development Programme).   The boys are housed in dormatories of no more than 10 and a house master is allocated to each group.  Over and above ADP , boys are taught routine, discipline and most importantly, the Gospel.  Together, our Khuthaza teams brings over 20 years experience to the Child Care environment.

Adolescent Development Programmes

  • Overcoming glue addiction (more addictive than cocaine & heroin)

  • Relationship Building & Team Work
  • Self Awareness

Having completed the 3 month programme, they are either reunited with their families if able to return home, or, housed with us in our homes (see Housing / Shelter) and educated at our school.
