CHILD PROTECTION WEEK

Each year over Child Protection Week, I Care joins forces with various organisations to create more awareness around the assistance available to children living on the streets.

In 2009, I Care staff gathered with Metro Police, Ethekwini Municipality, Social Development and The Community Police Forum to clean up some of the streets in Durban.  The children had great fun with the large brooms and hose pipes spraying each other with water!  It was wonderful to spend time in the children's domain, seeing a bit more around how they live and survive on the streets.
